We suggest trekking in Autumn (September, November) and Spring (March, May). Winter (December, February) is also a good time, although it can be a bit cold. However, Summer (June, August) is the rainy season and is not highly recommended.

We accept groups ranging from 1 to 17 people. For groups of 16 paying members, one group leader goes free. Generally, larger groups have lower costs per person. However if even a single person want to do trekking, its absolutely fine. Additionally, you may have your kids to do this trek together, if so then let us know, you can do.

You will need the same trekking equipment as for regular trekking, even on a pony trek. In winter, warm clothes are necessary, while mid-warm clothes are sufficient for autumn. In summer, quick-dry clothes are recommended. Please check our Trekking Equipment List before visiting Nepal.

A trekking guide will lead the way, arrange meals and accommodation, and provide overall service. Depending on the number of horses, there will also be one or more horse caretakers all depends on the number of horses.

Yes, both Annapurna Conservation Area Project (ACAP) and Trekkers’ Information Management System (TIMS) permits are required

The horse caretaker will provide sufficient and comfortable horse riding equipment, so you don’t need to bring your own.

Alliance Treks provides main trekking equipment such as sleeping bags, raincoats, water bottles, down jackets, kit bags (if needed), and walking poles. You will need to prepare the rest of the equipment yourself.

Most lodges have Wi-Fi, though it may come at a small cost (around USD 1 per hour). You can also buy a data card in Kathmandu or Pokhara. There is enough electricity, with some lodges having backup solar power. Lodges may charge a small fee for charging devices.

Meals include breakfast, lunch, and dinner with basic options such as Nepali, continental, and Tibetan cuisine. Some places offer American and Italian options. We provide tea/coffee three times a day. Accommodation usually includes attached bathrooms in twin-sharing rooms with hot showers. In some places, you may have to use common bathrooms

Tipping is appreciated but not mandatory. The minimum suggested rate is USD 10 per day for the guide and USD 5 per day for the porter and horse caretaker.

Yes, there are plenty of ATMs to withdraw Nepali rupees. The daily withdrawal limit is Rs. 35,000 (about USD 265). We accept credit card payments with a 4% service charge. We also have an online payment system and accept bank transfers with an additional USD 25 charge.

Our package includes 3-star hotel accommodation in Kathmandu on a twin-sharing basis. If you prefer higher or lower standard hotels, we can arrange them accordingly.
