2026 – A Continuing Flagship Initiative for Community Health and Education

Mission Ganesh Himal remains Alliance Treks’ flagship community initiative in 2026, still rooted in the remote villages of Ruby Valley, Dhading — the home region of founder Kul Bahadur Gurung and many of the company’s guides and staff. The mission continues to bring together French student groups, medical volunteers, and local partners each year, carrying forward the same commitment to give back to the community that shaped Alliance Treks over three decades of trekking operations.

• Health – Ongoing check-ups, medicine distribution, and preventive care for villagers who otherwise face long walks to basic medical services
• Education – Continued classroom support, English practice, and women’s literacy programs for children and women in Ruby Valley
• Environment – Sustained greenhouse projects and sustainable farming initiatives supporting long-term food security
• Tourism – Cultural exchange between international volunteers and villagers, paired with the promotion of Ruby Valley as a responsible, community-benefiting travel destination
