CSR We believe tourism should give back. We support local communities through local jobs and fair pay, protect porter welfare with safe practices and proper support, and promote responsible travel by reducing waste and respecting nature. A portion of our proceeds helps fund community and conservation initiatives across Nepal.

Our Commitment to Responsible Trekking

At Alliance Treks and Expedition, we believe tourism should give back to the communities and landscapes that make it possible. For over three decades, we’ve built treks that benefit local people and protect mountain environments. Our flagship initiative, Mission Ganesh Himal (MGH), supports education and health in the remote villages of Ruby Valley, Dhading.

Why It Matters

Ruby Valley is home — quite literally. Our founder, Kul Bahadur Gurung, was born and raised here, and many of our guides and team members come from these villages too. We’ve lived the long walks to basic services, the limited access to education and healthcare. Mission Ganesh Himal isn’t charity — it’s how we give back to the community that shaped us.

Our HEET Approach

Each year, alongside French students, medical volunteers, and local partners, we work across four areas:

• Health – check-ups, medicine distribution, and preventive care for villagers
• Education – classroom support, English practice, and women’s literacy programs
• Environment – greenhouse projects and sustainable farming initiatives
• Tourism – cultural exchanges and promoting Ruby Valley as a responsible travel destination
